TV watch: Lane's wedding on "The Gilmore Girls" tonight
Full disclosure: I've never watched "Gilmore Girls," but I've heard good things about the show from people I wouldn't have expected to be watching a Clearasil network. In any case, Lane (Keiko Agena) is getting married, and as marriage is a big deal in the world of such shows as these, tonight's episode is therefore a big deal. Having met Keiko once in San Diego, I can say that she seems like a very nice person. And of course, she was the star in Cynthia Liu's RED THREAD which screened at our festival back in 2003 which practically makes her family.

Just a note to Asian American artists out there to support 'The Gilmore Girls' for their diversity. Tomorrow's episode (Tuesday, April 18th) will highlight the wedding of Lane and Zach. Lane is a prominent Asian American character in the series.
There are many Asian American roles in this episode and include actors such as Emily Kuroda, Greg J. Paik, Ralph Ahn, myself (Joseph Steven Yang as the Korean Minister) ... and many others.
Let's support the inclusion of Asian America in prime time TV.
Cheers,
Joe Y.
